Your guide and owner of Lake Mulwala Sport Fishing, Jack Hocking
Growing up and living in the local state border region, Jack has a great knowledge of the area. He lives in Yarrawonga with his wife and 2 Hungarian Vizslas. Jack has a Bachelor of Applied science and has worked in the environmental field all over Australia from the Snowy mountains in New South Wales to remote Aboriginal Communities in Arnhem Land Northern Territory. His greatest passions are being in the outdoors especially fishing. Taking people fishing and teaching have always been a strong passion and he has now turned it into his dream job. With nearly 20 years fishing experience in Lake Mulwala Jack has a wealth of knowledge to share.
Where we operate
Lake Mulwala is quickly becoming renowned as one of Australia premier Murray cod fisheries. Pick up and drop off in Yarrawonga and Mulwala can be arranged for clients. All fishing gear, sunscreen, water, soft drinks and snacks are provided. You will be safely guided on our 20 foot Phoenix Bass boat with a 250hp Mercury outboard, loaded with all the latest Garmin sounders and twin 10foot Power Poles. Murray cod and Golden perch are the target species and are great fun to catch when casting lures, especially fishing for Murray cod on surface lures. You can also learn how to use Swimbaits, which rods and reels to use and techniques that work best.
